DING 3000 is the design studio of the three designers Carsten Schelling, Sven Rudolph and Ralf Webermann. After their studies and jobs at well-known design studios like Vogt&Weizenegger and Marcel Wanders these 3 designers decided to work together and since 2005 they design consumer products like furniture, lamps and home interior with a small team of employees.
They became famous with designs with a lot of background and charming ideas such as Pimp my Billy (2005), a series of tuning-products for Billy of Ikea, the most sold board of the world or through KONSTANTIN SLAWINSKis S-XL CAKE (2007), a baking mould made from silikon which produces different sized cake pieces right from the start.
They received over 25 design prices, especially the well-known IF-Award, the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award as well as the Design Plus Award.Besides their various publications incountry and abroad their works were published in a lot of books such as Design Now! of Taschen Verlag, Furnish and Desire - The Shape of Things to Come of Gestalten Verlag.
Designs of DING3000 are present in the permanent collections of the "Badisches Landesmuseum, Karlsruhe as well as Museum August Kestner in Hannover and were shown at designfestivals and exhibiton like Deutschen Pavillon of EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
